It is frequently stated that 'primal' type therapies in the wrong hands can be dangerous. In reality, any form of psychotherapy, in the wrong hands, can be a damaging experience.

The staff at The London Association of Primal Psychotherapists are all members of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy which is a national body which regulates the profession.

We are required to have a formal complaints procedure for members of the public and codes of ethics and practice. Our code of ethics is available on this website and all our members are required to adhere to them. Any psychotherapist, regardless of orientation, should be able to provide evidence of their adherence to these standards of practice.
